Web Designers

Description

Tomoye's R&D team has an immediate opening for a web designer (3-5 month contract) to create an award-winning look and feel for Tomoye Ecco's latest release currently in development. Experience in designing very attractive web sites or, ideally, web applications is required. This will include the various graphics for the site as well as the overall look and feel of the application. The right candidate has the right mix of graphical and artistic capability that can then implement this design in the various technologies (e.g. CSS). The right candidate will have a portfolio that demonstrates their suitability for this assignment.

Tasks

• Design overall look and feel
• Design various graphics including icons
• Provide key usability input

Expertise

• HTML/XHTML/Dynamic HTML
• CSS
• Photoshop and other graphic design tools
• Online communities / web collaboration / content management desirable
• Knowledge of various accessibility standards like CLF and 508
• Knowledge of WCAG and W3C standards
• Familiarity with the look-and-feel of Web 2.0-type applications is key
• AJAX/Javascript/DOM experience nice-to-have
